The John Joseph Inn and Elizabeth Restaurant is one of my favorite wedding venues in the Finger Lakes. This charming property in Groton, NY, was formerly the Rose Inn and was mostly destroyed from a 2004 fire. John and his wife Elizabeth acquired the property and did an amazing job restoring and renovating it.
Watching ceremony processionals while playing the piano in a beautiful hedge garden overlooking orchards and hills is very inspiring! And their marquee tent is perfect for hosting both larger and smaller sized receptions.
Spring, Summer and Fall are spectacular times for a wedding at the John Joseph Inn but I’ve also enjoyed smaller, intimate gatherings in the late Fall and had a wonderful time. I remember playing for a smaller, intimate wedding on a cool, crisp November day–but the hot dance party kept us all warm! And the service at John Joseph is always top notch. Very professional and super nice folks there.
If you are planning a wedding in the Finger Lakes and love gourmet food, beautiful country surroundings, an amazing location complete with a marquee tent, apple orchards, an English country hedge garden and worldly, charming hosts–then this would make an awesome choice to tie the knot.
