Deirdre’s ceremony was outdoors so I set up my digital piano on the outdoor patio. After playing some preludes for the guests arrival, the bridal party made their entrance to Bach’s Prelude in C Major and Deirdre walked down the aisle to Bach’s Air on a G String accompanied by her Father. The postlude was a nice non-traditional choice: Dream a Little Dream of Me which I played in a mid-tempo swing style.
After the ceremony I continued to play upbeat solo jazz piano for cocktails outside on the patio. The reception followed and everyone was ready to party–the dance floor was packed all night! For dancing, Deirdre asked for a mix of classic dance songs from Motown to contemporary with some Country and Rock for good measure. It was a blast!
Congratulations Deirdre & Brendon! Thank you for inviting me be a part of your special day!
